Recruitment: National Manager Operations (SES Band 1)

The Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) is the Australian Government body responsible for protecting the health of Australian athletes and the integrity of Australian sport by delivering a leading anti-doping program. ASADA is seeking to fill the role of National Manager Operations (SES Band 1).

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the leadership team you will provide strategic leadership to the Operations Group which plays a key role in ensuring the effective, efficient and accountable delivery of ASADA’s outcome. Specifically you will be responsible for a range of functions including Intelligence; Investigations; Science and Results Management; and Sports Engagement including Testing and Education. The National Manager Operations is also involved in the development of the future strategic directions of ASADA, particularly in the analysis of program delivery options: engagement, deterrence, detection and enforcement.

You will be able to contribute to and communicate the strategic direction of the agency and work through complex issues and identify innovative solutions. Your integrity, judgement, and strong leadership credentials will be paramount. You will have a strong focus on results, the ability to solve complex issues and adeptly manage sensitive issues and a genuine interest in building organisational capability. A background in intelligence and investigations and experience in engaging with stakeholders on sports integrity matters would be desirable.
