Substances: Medications in Sport - Status List: T to Z
Special Note:
In the World Anti-Doping Code 2008 Prohibited List Section M 2.2, Prohibited Methods, Intravenous infusion is prohibited. In an acute medical situation where this method is deemed necessary, a retroactive Therapeutic Use Exemption will be required.
A retroactive TUE will be considered only in exceptional or emergency circumstances as defined in International Standard for Therapeutic Exemptions (ISTUE) Section 4.7
Introduction
This list provides information on the sports anti-doping status for a range
of Australian medications that might be used during In-Competition periods
in sports as determined by MIMS Australia, according to the World Anti-Doping Code 2008 Prohibited List. Note that in the World Anti-Doping Code 2008 Prohibited List Section M2.2 intravenous infusion is prohibited. In an acute medical situation where this method is deemed necessary, a retroactive Therapeutic Use Exemption will be required.
The information listed here is appropriate during In-Competition
periods for sports only. For information on the status of medications during
Out-of-Competition periods please call the ASADA Anti-Doping Hotline 1800 020 506.
This list uses specific brand names and not generic product names i.e. ingredients.
Please ensure that the name of the medication you are checking is exactly the
same as the product listed.

scroll down to view the status of the specific product in question.
The symbol corresponding with the product name indicates its status in sport.
Each product will be listed as either permitted, subject
to conditions, permitted for females only, or prohibited.

meaning of each symbol.
If the product you are checking is not listed here it may be that:
- it is an overseas product
- it is a new product
- you are using incorrect spelling
- you are searching by a generic product name and not the specific brand
name.
