Anti-Doping Rules: Deterring doping in sport

ASADA’s anti-doping program includes a wide range of deterrence strategies in an effort to build a culture of Australian athletes who understand the health, moral and legal ramifications of doping – a culture of athletes who play clean and pursue victory with honour.

ASADA’s anti-doping program includes a dedicated research area which provides a basis for the development of education, communication and advocacy services for athletes, coaches and support personnel.

ASADA’s education services are tailored to meet the individual needs of sports with an emphasis on developing an athlete’s understanding of the physical and psychological risks of doping.

In addition these services ensure all athletes are aware of their rights and responsibilities in relation to anti-doping procedures.
