» ASADA Anti-Doping DVD

The ASADA Anti-Doping DVD 'Pure Performance in Sport' educates elite athletes and support personnel about anti-doping issues.

The DVD features sports stars Michael Milton, Barry Hall and Nicole Livingstone presenting and talking about key anti-doping issues.

The DVD is divided into ten chapters covering subjects such as:

  • Doping control (testing) procedures
  • Athlete whereabouts
  • What substances are prohibited
  • Test results management
  • Therapeutic Use Exemptions.

The Anti-Doping DVD can be purchased by calling the ASADA Anti-Doping Hotline 1800 020 506.

ASADA provides many National Sporting Organisations with free copies of the DVD. Ordering the DVD via the Hotline is recommended for individuals and organisations that are not National Sporting Organisations.

ASADA's DVD User Information Kit PDF icon (PDF 219kb) complements the DVD. This kit provides guidance to DVD users - specifically for sports organisations that use the DVD to educate their athletes and support personnel.

2008 ASADA Anti-Doping Handbook

Contents:

The handbook contains information about:

  • Anti-doping background
  • Anti-doping rule violations
  • prohibited substances and methods
  • legitimate use of prohibited substances
  • unintentional use of prohibited substances
  • sample collection process
  • athlete whereabouts information
  • retirement and reinstatement
  • a list of medication brand names (current at 1 January 2008)

Please note:

This handbook is consistent with the World Anti-Doping Code, International Standard for Testing, and the WADA Prohibited List.

The Prohibited List may change during the year. ASADA takes care to ensure that information in this handbook is accurate at the time of publication.

However ASADA cannot be held responsible for a change to the status of a medication due to a change in the Prohibited List, post the date of the handbook’s publication.

Please check online regularly for recent updates to the Status of Medications in Sport.

» ASADA Anti-Doping Wallet Card

The ASADA Anti-Doping Wallet Card provides a quick reference for athletes on ASADA's anti-doping information resources.

The size of a business card, the card includes the Anti-Doping Hotline phone number and the ASADA website.

The ASADA Anti-Doping Wallet Card can be purchased by calling the ASADA Anti-Doping Hotline 1800 020 506.

 

» ASADA Doping Control Guide

The ASADA Doping Control Guide provides information about ASADA's Doping Control Program, Athletes Rights and Responsibilities, Sample Collection Procedures and the Anti-Doping Rules.

The ASADA Doping Control Guide is consistent with the World Anti-Doping Code and the International Standard for Testing.

Athletes are provided a copy of the Doping Control Guide when they are notified of their selection for sample colletion.
