Education Service Charter

Overview

One of ASADA’s key strategies to deter the use of prohibited doping practices is the ASADA Education Service Charter; a comprehensive and multifaceted anti-doping education program. The ASADA Education Service Charter in addition to ensuring athletes and support personnel are aware of their rights and responsibilities, places an emphasis on developing athletes’ and support personnels’ understanding of the physical and psychological risks of doping.

“ASADA’s 2007-2008 Education Service Charter is a very good example of what can be achieved when stakeholders work together to educate athletes at all levels and experience to make sure that doping does not become an option for them. We are pleased that (ASADA) has adopted this model and is committed to education activities.” WADA Director General, David Howman.
