Australia's Driving Force for Pure Performance in Sport
Deterrence · Detection · Enforcement
ASADA can confirm that it is examining and evaluating the claim that has been made in the media by Western Bulldogs player Jason Akermanis.
ASADA take all allegations of doping seriously and is treating this matter with the upmost confidentiality as required by our governing legislation.
The AFL has one of the most comprehensive anti-doping programs in Australian sport with more than 500 in and out of competition tests for urine, blood and EPO. There are few if any anti-doping programs in Australian sport bigger or more robust than the AFL’s program.
For operational reasons, ASADA cannot go into any further detail on this matter.
