Doping Control: Updating Athlete Whereabouts Information

Important reminder about updating your AWI

There are two important things to remember when updating Athlete Whereabouts Information (AWI):

  1. Athletes cannot update their Athlete Whereabouts Information for a date that has already passed.
  2. Updates for a particular date must be received by ASADA by 12am (midnight) Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) the day before.

Updates can be made using;

  • the Athlete Whereabouts Online System,
  • the ASADA Anti-Doping Hotline,
  • mail, or
  • fax.

Athlete Whereabouts Online System

Athletes can update their Athlete Whereabouts Information using the Athlete Whereabouts Online System (AWOS) in the same way as submitting quarterly whereabouts information. Athletes login to the system using their user name and password and then they can update their information as required.

ASADA Anti-Doping Hotline: 1800 020 506

Athletes can update their Athlete Whereabouts Information by calling the ASADA Anti-Doping Hotline on 1800 020 506 (International +61 2 6222 4288) between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM AEST 7 days a week.

Athletes can only update their Athlete Whereabouts Information via the Anti-Doping Hotline if they have submitted compliant Athlete Whereabouts Information for the relevant quarter and have established their identity verification questions in the My Settings page of the Athlete Whereabouts Online System.

Identity verification questions are a security measure to ensure the person calling the ASADA Anti-Doping Hotline is in fact who they say they are. Athletes should keep their identity verification questions confidential. Athletes will need to correctly answer their identity verification questions when calling the ASADA Anti-Doping Hotline otherwise they will not be able to proceed with the call.

Any Authorised Representatives an athlete nominates will have to establish their own identity verification questions in the My Settings page of the AWOS.

Mail or Fax

Athlete Whereabouts Information updates can be made by mail or fax using a hard copy Athlete Whereabouts Form available from Resources for Athlete Whereabouts.

Updates made on a hard copy Athlete Whereabouts Form only require the athlete to provide the information which has changed; athletes do not have to complete the entire form again.

If athletes choose to update their Athlete Whereabouts Information using a hard copy form they must indicate it is an update by ticking the Update box on page one (1) of the form.

Updates can be mailed or faxed to:
