Doping Control: Submitting Athlete Whereabouts Information

Athletes can submit their quarterly Athlete Whereabouts Information in either of three (3) ways:

  1. Athlete Whereabouts Online System (AWOS)
  2. mail
  3. fax.

The Athlete Whereabouts Online System

The Athlete Whereabouts Online System (AWOS) is a user-friendly web based system and provides the easiest way for athletes to submit their quarterly Athletes Whereabouts Information to ASADA. The AWOS has been developed by ASADA and is available, worldwide, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ASADA has attempted to provide a secure environment and a reliable system but you should be aware that there may be inherent risks associated with the transmission of information via the Internet.

For those who do not have access to the internet, ASADA provides alternative means of submitting the information, that is, via mail or fax.

Access to the AWOS

Athletes will be able to access the AWOS from 1 February 2007 by following the Login link on the homepage of the ASADA website.

A user name and password is required to access the AWOS. The user name along with details on how to obtain a password is sent by ASADA to all athletes included on ASADA's Registered Testing Pool (RTP).

Features of the AWOS

Key features of ASADA's Athlete Whereabouts Online System include the ability to:

  • duplicate daily whereabouts data, saving time in entering the required information
  • create and save locations once and re-use them every quarter
  • receive immediate feedback on your quarterly compliance status
  • receive 'saved successfully' or 'error' messages when entering information
  • receive SMS and email notifications from ASADA including due date reminders or notification that your Athlete Whereabouts Information has been updated
  • access help pages to assist with entering information
  • obtain receipts for proof of your compliance and individual transactions
  • print your quarterly Athlete Whereabouts Information
  • enter Athlete Whereabouts Information for months in advance.
