Australia's Driving Force for Pure Performance in Sport
Deterrence · Detection · Enforcement
Under the World Anti-Doping Code (the Code), the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) Act 2006 and ASADA Regulations 2006, which contain the National Anti-Doping (NAD) Scheme, athletes are required to provide complete, current and accurate Athlete Whereabouts Information to enable them to be located for No Advance Notice, Out-of-Competition sample collection.
Athletes who fail to comply with the Athlete Whereabouts Information requirements may incur anti-doping rule violations and subsequent sanctions.
As a National Anti-Doping Organisation under the Code, ASADA has a number of responsibilities relating to Athlete Whereabouts Information, including the establishment of a national Registered Testing Pool (RTP), the setting of Athlete Whereabouts Information requirements and policies, and the development of systems and procedures to collect, monitor and manage Athlete Whereabouts Information.
For more information please refer to ASADA's Athlete Whereabouts Policy available from Resources for Athlete Whereabouts.
