Doping Control: ASADA testing program selection policy

ASADA conducts all testing in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code (Code) and the International Standard for Testing. This means:

  • targeted testing is based on:
  • the physical demands of the sport and/or discipline and possible performance-enhancing effect that doping may elicit
  • available doping analysis statistics
  • available research on doping trends
  • the history of doping in the sport and/or discipline
  • training periods and the competition calendar
  • information received on possible doping practices.

ASADA's program includes both in-competition and out-of-competition testing.
